YIPD Trainings

YIPD has been conducting various capacity building trainings throughout Indonesia to enhance local capacity skills and knowledge. Most of training organised by YIPD were part of the technical assistance of the projects but YIPD also organised trainings that were not attached to any projects for the sake of local government innovation. Here are list of trainings conducted by YIPD:

•    Training on Strategic Environment Assesment (SEA) on Policy Analysis and Development Planning – Technical Assistance 2010. YIPD successfully profiled 10 trainings throughout Indonesia with the support from DANIDA and Ministry of Environment to mainstream the SEA in the development of environmental policy in Indonesia. The trainings were attended by national and local government officials, academics, NGOs, and relevant stakeholders of SEA, etc.
Training on Strategic Environment Assessment (SEA) on Policy Analysis and Development Planning – Clearing House 2010. This training designed for Ministry of Environment staffs to assist them in implementing new Environment Law prior to the establishment of Clearing House Centre for SEA.
Training on 4th Regional Training Course on Earthquake Vulnerability Reduction for Cities. This training supported by Asian Disaster Preparadness Center (ADPC).
Training on Building and Restoring Simple Housing Affected by Earthquake. This training also supported by Asian Disaster Preparadness Center (ADPC).



YIPD also successfully profiled tailor made training designed for local government needs. The focus of the training included Asset Management Training, Performance Management Training, Organizational Development training and Change Management Training. The client of the trainings included Lombok Timur Regency, Sinjai Regency, Mataram City, Bintuni Regency, Banda Aceh Regency, Mimika Regency, Sleman Regency, Pontianak City, etc.

Other trainings that YIPD successfully conducted include:

GIS (Geographic Information System) training,
Management asset of local government: how to assess the value of assets of the local governments,
•     Spatial planning: how to formulate spatial plan (RTRW) in accordance with the new spatial plan Law.
